The design of the glass artwork " Moonlight Crush" is my attempt to capture the graceful beauty of our moon. Most of the time, we don't even notice it's there, taking it for granted. But when you pause for a moment, isn't the moon simply astonishing to Earth? Like a silent observer, it watches over us in the celestial firmament. A comforting thought, I think.
The sculpture consists of two nested, open glass spheres. The outer sphere, with a diameter of approximately 32 cm, presents a clear yet restless texture: it is permeated by countless fine bubbles , which transform the surface into a vibrant, effervescent medium.
Inside, it encloses a smaller sphere (approx. 18 cm in diameter) with a velvety surface. The work's tension unfolds through this interplay of transparency and opacity.
When daylight falls on the object from the side, subtle shadows are cast, creating a diffuse lunar landscape on the inner sphere. The object also offers the possibility of internal lighting, which bathes the room in a mystical light.

My glass artworks are handmade. Therefore, small bubbles, impurities in the glass, or streaks on the surface are a result of the process.
